Biography:

Professor Christopher Vertullo  MBBS PhD FRACS FAOrthA is an Adjunct Professor in the Menzies Health Institute Queensland at Griffith University, current President of the Australian Knee Society, Chair of the Australian Orthopaedic Association National Sports Injury Prevention Working Group and Chair of AOA Continuing Orthopaedic Education. Professor Vertullo has been a specialist orthopaedic knee surgeon since 2001, being involved in the treatment of elite athletes and professional sports teams as well as being a strong advocate for sports injury prevention at a national level. He has a strong focus on research into knee surgery, holding a PhD in the area of improving the outcomes of knee replacement. Based on his internationally recognised expertise, Professor Vertullo has recently been ranked in top 100 world influencers in the field of orthopaedics. He is a member of the ACL Study Group and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

About The ACL Study Group

The ACL study group was organized 25 years ago by a small group of orthopedic surgeons with a common interest in the anterior cruciate ligament. Today, Dr. John Bergfeld organizes this large international study group that meets every 2 years to exchange information in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
